All aboard! Your journey is about to begin! Join us on a magical 1-hour train ride to the North Pole. Families will experience the story of the “Polar Express”, sing Christmas carols, enjoy milk and cookies, and meet the one and only Santa Claus!

You will be asked to sign up for one of the following train times on December 7th:

Below are some frequently asked questions regarding registration and what to expect the day of the event.

Q: When does registration open for Roselle Park District Residents?  For non-residents?

A: October 14, 2024 for Roselle Park District residents and November 1, 2024 for non-residents.

Q: How do I know if I am a Roselle Park District Resident?

A: Anyone living within the geographic boundaries of the Roselle Park District is considered a resident. The Village of Roselle supports four Park Districts and not all Roselle residents are Roselle Park District residents. You can use the boundary map below or check your property tax bill to determine with park district serves you.

Q: How can I purchase tickets?

A: Tickets can be purchased in person at Clauss Recreation Center 555 W Bryn Mawr Ave or online at rparks.org

Q: Does everyone need to purchase a ticket?

A: Everyone attending the Polar Express should purchase a ticket. Anyone without a ticket will not be allowed on the train.

Q: What time does online registration open?

A: Registration begins online at 8:30am.

Q: What time does in-person registration open?

A: In-person registration begins at 8:30am.

Q: How do I create an online household account?

A: Submit an Online Registration Request Form. Once your account is set up, you will receive an email to complete the activation process. For more information on the registration process click here.

Q: When do I need to create this account?

A: Online household accounts should be created prior to the date of registration to ensure there is time for a username and password to be assigned. Please note that this process may take 1-2 business days.

Q: Is the Polar Express refundable or transferrable?

A: Tickets to Polar Express are not refundable or transferrable.

Q: What can I expect from during the Polar Express Train Ride?

A: This experience includes a train ride to the "North Pole” where passengers are entertained with readings of “The Polar Express” book, milk and cookies, singing Christmas Carols, and visits from characters like Santa and the Conductor.

Q: How long is the train ride?

A: The train ride lasts approximately 60 minutes.

Q: Is there assigned seating?

A: You will be notified via email if you are on the “red” train or the “green” train. Seating is open once inside your assigned train car.

Q: What should I wear?

A: Many guests, especially children, wear pajamas to enhance their experience and mimic the characters in the book.  Comfortable, festive attire is also suitable.

Q: Is the train heated?

A: Yes, the train cars are heated.

Q: Are strollers allowed?

A: Strollers are not allowed on the train rides, due to limited space.
