Strategic Plan

The purpose of the Strategic Plan for 2018-2023 is to establish a specific direction for the Park District to continue to improve the District operations, programs, financial stability, and maintain the exceptional standards that have been in place for years.

In November 2017, the Roselle Park District embarked on a mission to develop a strategic plan to provide direction for the next five years, as well as a framework for on-going strategic planning. The Strategic Plan defines the Park District’s mission. vision, goals, and strategies. Input from the 2018 community survey and community forum/input sessions, as well as from Board members and staff will assist in producing a final plan where fundamental components help guide the Park District over the next five years.

Roselle Park District Mission Statement:

The Roselle Park District is committed to enriching, preserving and investing in the quality of community life.

November 2017:

Roselle Park Board requests staff to move forward with proposal from Craig Rapp LLC and begin Strategic Plan process.

December 2017:

Staff begins to formulate Strategic Plan calendar and formulate community survey.

February 2018:

Community Survey deployed.

April 2018:

Agency hosts community focus groups and community forum.

July 2018:

Board Retreat to formalize plan and strategic goals and initiatives.

September 2018:

Strategic Plan Report/results to be prepared by Craig Rapp LLC and presented to Park Board. Final Report to be published on District website late September/Early October.
